One-stop services at Tuen Mun Regional Office

The Immigration Department (ImmD) established a 4-storey regional office at the Tuen Mun Siu Lun Government Complex in March 2021 to provide one-stop services for different types of personal documentation applications. The services range from registration of birth and marriage to applications for Hong Kong identity card, various travel documents, and also extension of stay applications from both Hong Kong residents and visitors, most of which used to be offered only at offices outside Tuen Mun.

With streamlined and re-engineered business processes, parents can also enjoy the convenience of a one-stop arrangement of birth registration-cum-travel document application services for their newborns at the same counter with a single application form. Similarly, a one-stop arrangement of identity card-cum-travel document application services is also available at the regional office. Self-Service Stations with multi-function kiosks are also set up on the 1st floor of the regional office to facilitate the application for and collection of HKSAR Passport and enrolment for Macao Automated Immigration Clearance Service.

ImmD has adopted a user-centric design in the establishment of the regional office. The largest marriage hall of all marriage registries adopts a contemporary design with high headroom, and embellished spots for outdoor photography at the roof garden are provided for newlyweds. Facilities such as baby care rooms and stroller parking areas are also available to members of the public in the Births Registry, all of which are expected to bring a better experience for service users.
