SIE Fund Task Force visits Gerontech and Innovation Expo

The Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund) Task Force paid a visit to the Gerontech and Innovation Expo on 3 November 2022 to keep abreast of the latest development of gerontechnology and exchange views with practitioners of the sector. The Expo this year showcased more than 700 gerontechnology products and solutions presented by over 180 exhibitors from Hong Kong and other parts of the world. It also hosted five themed pavilions, one of which being “Smart City Smart Service”. The Gerontechnology Platform funded by the SIE Fund was one of the exhibitors in the pavilion, through which the work and achievements of the Platform were introduced to the public.

As the second flagship project of the SIE Fund, the Gerontechnology Platform was launched in 2021. It aims to link up different stakeholders on the supply and demand sides and enhance synergy by way of engagement, cross-sector partnership and collaboration, with a view to fostering the development of the gerontechnology ecosystem.
