For another year, the Efficiency Office (EffO) continued to support the programme of the Junior Achievement Hong Kong   and helped 20 students from True Light Girls’ College understand their interests for planning their future studies and career pathways through job shadowing.

The job shadowing this year was held on 3 March. The students were first briefed on EffO’s services and work areas. They were then assigned to different units to meet with their mentors, ten EffO staff members, and the mentors and mentees introduced each other. After the mentors’ presentation on their daily job duties, the students started their “work” in various areas, including consultancy study, information technology application, communications and marketing, as well as web management, etc.

Upon completion of their “work”, the students gathered at the collaboration area “EFFOCave” to share what they had learnt from their first job shadowing experience which deepened their understanding of the workplace.
